Day 54 : Seattle --> New York City --> Toronto

It's another traveling day, from Seattle to New York City to Toronto, from early morning to night.

I left Chris's on 29th night to go to SeaTac Airport, and stayed overnight in the airport.
So I didn't have to worry about I would be late for my flight.

 OMG, Its was CLOSE.

Arriving in New York!

I stayed 5hours in the New York Airport to wait for my next flight.
It's was so boring there. there was no many good shops to me.
I still think the airports in Asia are very convinence


Finally, I arrived in Toronto Airport at 10: 40pm.
Thanks my dear friends gave me a surprise - welcome back cake.
OMG! How lucky I am. Have these friends in Toronto.
I love you guys.

I was so tired for a couple of days from my traveling.
I didn't do many things after return.
Maybe I'm too old to do 2-months traveling tho.   BRUTAL

西雅圖

你對西雅圖有什麼印象？　

就算你沒去過西雅圖，應該也多少聽到一些有關西雅圖的故事，就算是電影也好…

西雅圖夜末眠 Sleepless in Seattle ; 決戰西雅圖 Battle in Seattle... ... 多少還是有點印象吧。

再說，如果你喝星巴克，應該也知道第一家星巴克就是在西雅圖落店的。

西雅圖之所以會成為一個觀光景點，星巴克創始店 應該佔了很大的因素。

對於美國來說，位在美國西岸濱臨太平洋，越過一個太平洋則是亞洲，所以，西雅圖在美國的領土上扮演了一個非常重要的窗口。

要說西雅圖人愛喝咖啡嗎？　我是不確定，但的確，走在西雅圖這個城市裡，特別是downtown，約二三個街口就有一家星巴克，其出現頻率就像台灣隨處可見的便利商店那樣…便利。

我的host, Chris, 告訴我，西雅圖人 對於星巴克是又愛又恨……

一半的人覺得因為星巴克，所以帶動了西雅圖的觀光和商業市場 ; 另一半的人覺得星巴克過於商業化，而失去真正所謂的“享受咖啡“的本意。

Chris也說，西雅圖的星巴克要開始賣酒了，應該是咖啡和酒mix的那種產品…
但不知道何時會開始整個商業化。。。大家請期待吧~~

因為Chris 的提醒，他說，在西雅圖成就的公司其實很多，但多數人只知道星巴克…

他隨口列了幾個公司，就引發我的好奇心…還真的咧~  

 1 Starbucks 星巴克 (我又再重複提了)

 2 Amazon 亞馬遜 (有在用 eBook的人應該會比較清楚)

 3 DHL/UPS

 4 Boeing 波音

 5 Costco 好市多

 6 United Airlines (美聯航空)

 7 Microsoft 微軟

 .....當然還有很多，以上列出來的，是我們比較常聽到的。

不過，西雅圖真的不大…是不太需要停留太多天…… 哈哈哈  

Day 53 : I got a TATTOO

March 29, 2012  Rainy @ Seattle

Seattle is a pretty small city.
I was glad that I just planed 2 days in Seattle.
Today, I didn't have many things to do, because of rainy day.

So I decided to have a tattoo in Seattle!
why here?
I thought it's cheaper than in Canada.
why today?
Because I had nothing to do today! haha

When I walked into the tattoo shop, they asked me about my ideas, which part on my body, what kind of tattoo I want to have....
Actually I had no idea at that moment.
After one hour.... I designed my own tattoo.

So excited, I have tattoo now.

I designed it by myself, and it's a very simple one and have my personality as well.
I love it.


How did I feel?
A little bit hurt, but half half. (I didn't feel pain on my fat.)




I can imagine how my family would feel and say.
But I wanna say, I didn't change at all, ShuLing is still ShuLing.
I won't change because of tattoo.

Day 52 : Seattle

It was a bad weather this morning, so cloudy and cold.
But I didn't have much time in Seattle, I still had to look around this city.

 To me, Seattle is a city that was build by hills, bridges and water.

It's a pretty small city, it took me around 1hour and half to reach downtown from my host - Chris's.

There is an important attraction must see in Seattle is Underground Tour.

It's a good chance to understand the Seattle history.

In Seattle, they try to keep this old school things as well. I pretty love it!

By the way, I was joking with Chris after the underground tour.
That's why Seattle was named Seattle, because of too much water(sea) around it.


Attraction 2 : Pike Market

It's very famous and popular in Seattle, If you visit Seattle, you HAVE to come here.
Besides you have nowhere to go tho. hahaha (small city)

There are many booths here, such as seafood, handmade crafts, flowers, fast foods...etc.
The other way is the original Starbucks coffee shop was found in Seattle, just near by Pike Market.
Why people like to visit Seattle? Of course, to see the original Starbucks shop.

 I didn't buy any city cup from original shop, but I got gift cards.

And I found a small book store in the corner of the market.
It's so sweet and cute, I love it!

After Chris was off work, he showed me around the Seattle.
It's much better to have a car here. Thanks Chris.

we brought some foods and went back home to cook the dinner.
This time, I didn't do any help for Chris, because he didn't need.
I just watched him and waited.
OMG, after 1.5 hours........

These were YUMMY......

Chris is an amazing man!!!

Day 51 : Victoria --> Seattle

It's the day to move to Seattle.

Before I left, my host gave me a haircut for free ey.... YEAH~

ps. Last night, I asked her '' Have you ever done Asian's haircut?''

It's kind of challenge to do Asian's haircut, because our hair is harder than western people's, black, and our hindbrains are flat, and we have shorter and smaller brows. 

So we did the haircut in the KITCHEN!

靠　我好肥…

Anyway, to me FREE is the best!  

she really did a good job with my haircut.  NICE. 

I look younger than my age.  hahaha

After that, I went out for a while, had a brunch and took some pictures.

De Dutch is a chain restaurants in BC.
You can't find it in other provinces in Canada, so I have to have once in De Dutch.
Actually I pretty like their meals.

In the afternoon, yeah, it's my time to leave.

From Victoria to Seattle, there is only way to go there by Victoria Clipper.

It cost me around C$80, and 2hours. Not too bad.

I thought I would have the chance to see the whales, but the ferry was going fast and they don't allow passengers to stay outside of ferry.
So all people stayed inside and did nothing.

Finally, I arrived in SEATTLE where has original Starbucks coffee shop.

Day 49 : Biking day

March 25, 2012 @ Victoria

Today, we had a DimSim lunch with CouchSerfing friends.
Interesting, I had DimSim with western people. haha

After lunch, I rode the bicycle out again, to see something different in Vancouver Island.
And I found a small beach

Today I rode on the highway by mistakes, but there was no one stop me.
I wasn't sure that I can do that or not......I asked and confirmed with some one before I riding on it.
Anyway, I'm safe now.   hahaha

I saw some good markets in Vancouver Island. And I really love it.

 Many fruits and vegetables here. nice!


By the way, I was very surprised about seeing the cherry blossoms(櫻花樹) in vancouver island.
They are very beautiful ey~

Day 48 : Victoria downtown

It was my first day in Victoria on Saturday.

Thanks for my host's bike, so I had chance to have a bike tour in Victoria without bus fees.

In Victoria, they have very good bike routes and running routes with beautiful views.

And they also told me, Victoria always breeds (培育) champion rollers and riders.
No matter big lakes or small, you always can see many rollers were practicing.

Downtown Victoria

The most famous Victoria port.

Fisherman's wharf is a must-go, must-see place in Victoria.
and it also is a good location to kill the weekend time for families.

many boat houses here, and they decorate their houses with many interesting things.

These 3 WILD seals (海狗) are very popular here.
And you can buy some fresh fishes to feed them.

Leaving Fisherman's Wharf, I went to southbround of Victoria.
And it was a wonderful day, many people went out for sun tanning and exercises.

 I saw Terry Fox in the Beacon Hill Park!

 And I love his mottos - Dreams are made possible if you try,
and another one is - I believe in miracles, I have to.

Too bad, I have to go back my hosts' to help them to prepare the dinner.
We have some guests will come over for dinner.

This little shy boy is my favorite.
he is a black, has rich hair and long legs and nice body.
But he is too shy to take the pictures. I miss him so much.

And this cat is shy too.
But one day, When I was taking the shower, he was inside the bathroom with me, and he was drinking the tap water all the time.
He looks like Chaplin (卓別林). haha  funny

I'm not sure all people who live in Victoria are relax and easy as well, but that's what I saw.
