Day 41 : St. Patrick's day in BANFF

March 17, 2012  Cloudy day, Temp: 0C

Today is St. Patrick's day. I don't know too much about St. Patrick's day, I just knew people would drink a lot and get drunk, and everything is green.

Today, my host, Danielle, drove me to Banff.
Oh man, she has two cars, one is BMW roadster, another is RV van.
Such a wisdom woman.
We passed by a big lake, maybe not a lake, but Danielle told me it's a skating rink in the winter time, between November to February. Whole lake would be freeze.
Keep driving around 30mins, here we were. BANFF National Park!
Actually, it's too much commercial and shops in Banff. (In my personal opinion)
Masato told us that the population in Banff is around 8000, and 800 Japanese there, because of tourist business.
To japanese it is a big market and business in Banff.
That's amazing....

By the way, we found a good shop. They sell really yummy pastry and ice cream for women!!!

Sorry men, I can't say no to this.   Life is so tough to me.

Do you like your attitude?
Yes, I do.

Masato, my Japanese friend, works for a tourist company in Banff.
So he knows somewhere and have nice views. (that's his works)

First : Surprise corner.
People come here to see the Banff Springs Hotel and take the pictures.
Banff Springs Hotel is  is a former railway hotel constructed in Scottish Baronial style located in Banff National ParkAlberta, Canada. The original hotel, designed by American architect Bruce Price, was built between spring of 1887 and 1888 by theCanadian Pacific Railway, at the instigation of its President, William Cornelius Van Horne. The hotel was publicly opened on June 1, 1888. Starting in 1911, a wholly new hotel was built in stages to replace the 1888 structure. The new hotel was designed by another American architect,Walter S. Painter. Compared with Price's Shingle style-influenced wooden structure, Painter's new hotel was built of concrete and faced with stone.

Second : Cascade Gardens

Third : Bow Falls and Bow River
Those were we did in Banff.
I couldn't remember how many times we jumped for a good pictures.

Danielle and Masato were my companies today. Thank you my friends.
It was so much fun today. :)

On our way home, I really liked these views with ranches and country music.

By the way, today was St. Patrick's day, we still had a little celebration.
One of Danielle's friends likes to make cakes and cookies for her friends.
And we are really lucky women having some lovely and sweet cookies from her.

I had great day!!!
