Working in Toronto ?

Working Holiday, for most people the jobs/works are most important things and target.
you wanna making money for whole year, or 50-50 per each.
(I wouldn't tell your my plans, because plans always change)
打工度假，對很多人來說工作是最重要的事和目的。
你想要整年都賺錢？　還是一半一半？
（我不會說我的計劃，因為計劃一直在變）

When I was in Taiwan, I though it's would be easier to find the jobs than NZ or AU.
After I arrival in Toronto and looked for jobs, I felt it's not easy as I though.
You may not get a job in the same field or at the same level that you had in your home country.
How say?
當我在台灣時，我覺得在加拿大找工作會比在澳洲和紐西蘭容易。
結果，在我來到多倫多找工作之後，不是我想像的那麼容易。
怎麼說？　

For Canadian employers, they like to hire some people have Canadian experiences or related experiences.
For example,
對加拿大雇主來說，他們都希望請到一個有加拿大經驗的人和有相關經驗的人。
1) Waitresses : You must have SMART SERVE CARD, and you can work in the restaurant which is selling the alcoholic drinks. if you don't, they wouldn't hire you.
服務生：如果餐廳有賣酒，你就要有一個SMART SERVE CARD，才能在那工作，如果沒有，就不會用你了。
2) Staffs in the 4/5 stars hotel : you must have related experiences and speaking/listening English skills.
4/5星的飯店裡的員工：必需要有相關工作經驗，且有很好的說／聽的能力。
3) Clerk in clothing shop : you must know the fashion and have related experiences, and speaking/listening English skills.
服飾店店員：必需要懂時尚、相關經驗和聽／說的能力。

說真的，我覺得多倫多的店家在找人時的條件都算很高，
這些條件要求對非加拿人來說…誰都沒有多倫多經驗，怎麼比英文都不及加拿大人…
但偏偏，從世界各地的人來加拿大打工的人真的很多。
隨便都是……
我不免好奇問了他們，有的可能是hostel的housekeepers，有的是clerks，有的是sales…
他們都說，在加拿大找工作至少要好幾個禮拜…(迴聲~~~好幾個禮拜!!!)
誰有錢這樣燒呀?
如果是英國人、歐洲人來這邊，錢還比較好用，但亞洲人來這燒錢，真的是有種在油鍋裡的感覺。
每天早上醒來，都會有種緊張和不安的感覺。
因為，網路丟履歷、挨家挨戶地主動問店家有沒有缺人手…每天走上六七個小時…這樣消磨下來，真的很讓人害怕。。。。。走在外面時，肚子餓了又買不下手…因為實在太貴了!

If you don't prepare much money, energy and courage for this, don't take this risks.

又或者就先去Chinatown去試水溫，不過這樣一來，又有可能會遇到壞心的華人…
壓榨工資、給很多的工作，還有，很難練到英文。。。。。
不過，若有一個收入，也或許是件好事。。。至少可以減緩一些不安。



所以，以我個人的經驗，要做好來這邊當台勞的準備…
清潔人員、洗碗工、派報員…等等不怎樣的工作，誰都可以做的工作…
先求有，再求好。。。。

要不，就離開大城市，去比較鄉村的地方，找一些農場的工作。
也是一個不錯的選擇。
(如果我離開了多倫多，我也會選擇鄉村地方，至少…這種鄉村的環境是在台灣時比較體驗不到的)


Lucky me, I in person went to a company without presenting the resume.
Must be interview in English, I know I don't have fluent English,  But After I left the company, I just got their call - We like to hire you, please com-in the office at 1:30pm again, we have to do some test.
幸運的我，我親自去面試一家公司，才離開公司沒多久，就接到他們要雇用我的電話，叫我隔天再去一次，要做一些測試。

Second day -Tuesday- I went there again, two more women there.
We took 45 mins to read some papers and rules, and did the test in 30 mins.
And I got 60 points, one women next to me got 30%.
(Maybe the company treated me nice, they knew I'm from Taiwan, so....)
第二天，同時有二個女人也在場，我們花了４５分鐘看一些文件和規則，花３０分鐘筆試。
我得了六十分，我旁邊的女人得了３０分。
（可能他們看我是外國人，所以對我比較好）


That's it, I got this full-time job, and start it on Thursday.
And they will pay when I'm in training.
結果我得到了一個全職工作，且星期四開始上工，他們會訓練我，且訓練期間也會又付薪水。
Today is Saturday, my trainer -Alice- told me...
maybe one more day for training. you will work alone on Tuesday.
you're doing well. the company will give you some appointments.
今天是星期六，我的師父告訴我：也許星期一再訓練一天，就可以自己上工了。
且你做得不錯，公司會再給你新的客戶。

--Friday night--
I talked about the jobs with a friend in Vancouver, and she said it's not easy to find the jobs in there too.
Because too many Chinese or Asian people there, and many people present the resume to one restaurant.
( I'm not sure what's happened there. but it's seem not good news)
－星期五晚上－
和一個在溫哥華的朋友聊工作的事，她跟我說在溫哥華因為華人爆多，所以工作也不好找。
且很多人都投同一家華人餐廳
（我不清楚發生什麼事，但聽起來就感覺不是很好）

If you can earn the money for balancing your cost，JUST DO IT !
To find somethings you wanna learn from your jobs and enjoy it.
